Spotify Alarm Not Working? Check Your Actual Setup

First identify which app is scheduling your Spotify alarm. Google Clock on Android, an iPhone shortcut and a third-party app are different setups. A fix for one can be irrelevant to another. Start by checking whether an ordinary built-in tone rings at the same time.
Google Clock on Android
Google documents Spotify as a music source in its Clock app. Open the alarm's sound selection and inspect its Spotify choice. Make sure Spotify is installed and signed in. Account access matters: Google's instructions distinguish choosing individual songs with Premium from the playlist options available without it. Reselect the music and try a near-term alarm. If a normal Clock tone works but the selected music does not, concentrate on the music integration, selected content and account connection. Do not assume that downloading a playlist inside Spotify makes every alarm integration work offline.
iPhone: name the integration before changing settings
Apple Clock's song picker uses the available music-library choices; it is not a Spotify URL field. Instructions for Google Clock's Spotify tab do not describe the iPhone Clock app. For a supported Clock song, see setting a song as an iPhone alarm.
If you set up a shortcut or another app, open that exact setup. Check its current instructions, required permissions, selected audio and any error shown during execution. Avoid applying generic advice to “leave Spotify open” unless the integration's documentation actually requires it.
Separate the scheduler from the music

Change one thing per test and note the result. This is a diagnostic checklist, not a claim that one cause explains all Spotify failures. Keep a conventional alarm as your next wake-up alert while investigating.
If your priority is a local custom sound
