Who classic alarm sounds suit
People who like a sound they already know
A chime or a famous melody needs no learning. Your brain files it as 'time to get up' straight away.
Anyone who wants no voice at all
None of the four has a spoken voice. They are tones and music, so nothing talks at you before breakfast.
Fans of a clean, short alert
The shortest sound is 5 seconds. If you like a crisp tone over a long soundscape, start here.
Heavy sleepers who want an edge
The tense theme is built to be hard to sleep through. Pair it with a back-up alarm until you trust it.
When to pick a classic sound
- You want something familiar and no-nonsense, not a scene or a pep talk.
- You prefer short sounds (5 to 13 seconds) that loop cleanly.
- You want music with a slow build, like the cello prelude, instead of a flat beep.
- You are tired of your current tone and want a fast change that still feels traditional.
If you tend to sleep through alarms, see AlarmiFex for heavy sleepers. Wake-up Series lets you follow a classic chime with a different sound a few minutes later.
How to set a classic alarm sound in AlarmiFex
- Open a new alarm. Tap to add an alarm and set the time and repeat days.
- Tap Alarm Sound. This opens the Choose Sound screen, where you can browse by mood and pick Classic.
- Preview, then choose. Play a sound to hear it, pick the one you like and tap Done.
- Save the alarm. Set the volume to taste and tap Save. Download the sound first if you want it saved on your phone.
These steps follow the iPhone app. On iPhone, alarms ring on silent and in Focus once you allow alarms. Always set a test alarm a few minutes ahead before you rely on a new setup. Try the other moods
Classic is one of five moods. When a familiar tone stops working, switch to Calm, Energetic, Motivational or Anime, or see everything on the alarm sounds page.
